We're here to help
Yes, we support people who are having trouble accessing tests. Following the pandemic, we continue to have a strict safety strategy in place to ensure you are safe throughout any visit. This ensures your privacy too, as we only have one client onsite at any one time. We also have free parking directly outside. We provide sperm tests for fertility and post-vasectomy, with same day results direct to you. Our consultations are offered online or onsite.
Sperm test results can be baffling. Dr Woodward will explain what each section means & together look at the most cost-effective treatments available to help you conceive. We can also explore whether there is anything that can be done to improve your sperm health. If you would like a fresh onsite sperm test, in our fully controlled environment, we can arrange this.
Yes, you can have an independent test with us via our specialised andrology lab. We offer standard semen analyses, as well as oxidative stress tests (Mioxsys®) and sperm DNA fragmentation tests. We also offer full tests for people with spinal cord injuries or diagnosed with retro-ejaculation. Once we have the report, we will go through the results with you in detail. You are given a copy of the report and we can pass them on to a clinic of your choice.
Yes, if other clinics need reports of blood tests and a semen analysis, we can provide them promptly to prevent any delays. There include any pre-treatment tests and blood tests for the pregnancy hormone HCG after treatment. We are also linked with several clinics throughout the world, enabling us to offer you a number of options depending on your specific needs and requirements. If it helps, we can liaise with your clinic on your behalf.
We respect the fact you may want to discuss your results on a one-to-one basis with a consultant. Our service is discrete and completely confidential. If however, you wish to bring your partner along, this is not a problem. If you wish to be solo parent, or are already a solo parent wanting to conceive again, we can help.
Sperm quality can vary between tests. We explore your lifestyle, diet & many other factors that are linked to sperm production. We can also discuss specific vitamins and minerals that might to improve sperm quality.
Yes, we champion inclusivity and welcome everyone, including solo people, and all identities. As Leicester Pride supporters, we help the LGBTQ+ community locally and further afield. We have a fully licensed sperm donor bank on-site, and also have links with to overseas sperm banks. We only deal with banks approved for use by our regulator.
We offer sperm testing & storage for people whether they are solo, partnered or simply want to store sperm for a later date to preserve their fertility. We work with surrogacy organisations to facilitate your needs.
A referral is not needed, all our services are confidential. If you have any fertility results or medical notes you can bring them along to the consultation as these may be useful.
The best way to check success rates is via the HFEA website's "Choose a Fertility Clinic" webpage. The HFEA is the UK’s independent regulator of fertility treatment. All licensed fertility clinics in the UK must provide with data on all fertility treatments and outcomes. Our data can be checked via the HFEA dashboard. Like the HFEA, we are committed to improving transparency and accessibility in all data collected.
We specialise in male fertility. Our dedicated andrology lab has Mioxsys® technology and we provide same day results. For sperm DNA fragmentation tests, the HFEA states that "the evidence is conflicting and depends on the type of test used by the clinic". We therefore use the Sperm Chromatin Structure Assay for its reliability. Please see: HFEA Add-ons
We have a fully licensed donor sperm bank on-site. To see if you might be eligible to donate your sperm, please visit: British Sperm Bank
We provide ramped wheelchair access. Full washroom facilities are located on the ground floor and we perform all consultations, tests and treatments on the ground floor too.
Complementary therapies can help reduce stress and therefore may support people looking to conceive, as well as benefiting general well-being. The HFEA classes complementary therapy as a "treatment add-on". Please see: HFEA Complementary Therapies
